This class will not only relax and calm you, but will also rejuvenate and revitalize your energy. Laraine considers yoga “meditation in motion,” and leads students to a place of comfort, ease and stability with simple yet effective alignment-based postures, rhythmic movement, breathwork, positive affirmations, and a powerful meditative practice. She offers several variations for each posture so that it is accessible to all: the new student of yoga, those with a tight body, stiffness, injury or recovering from illness or surgery, and anyone seeking to cultivate a sense of equanimity and well-being. Core strengthening and balance poses are included in every class. Having practiced yoga since she was 19 and taught for over 20 years, Laraine brings compassion, joy, and a depth of understanding to her teaching. No prior yoga experience is necessary.
"Before starting these classes, I had spent two years in physical therapy trying to relieve pain and discomfort when sitting. Fortunately, Laraine’s class has helped me to get rid of whatever nerve tension was lingering in my lower back area for so long. Now I am able to take long walks again, cross-country ski, and sit comfortably without any pain. Laraine understands and communicates the true spirit of a yoga practice, and I highly recommend her class to everyone."
