Qigong All Levels (Studio)

Qigong integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focused intentions. The gentle, rhythmic movements of qigong warm tendons, ligaments and muscles; tonify vital organs and connective tissue; and promote circulation of body fluids (blood, synovial and lymph). Thousands of studies have shown qigong effective in helping to heal life challenges ranging from high blood pressure and chronic illness to emotional frustration, mental stress and spiritual crisis.

"Fifteen years ago, I was told that I had a chronic illness that may or may not resolve itself. I vowed to fight. Despite my efforts, my symptoms became worse and others were added. Much of what I loved to do became difficult or impossible. I searched hard to find joy and alternatives to what I lost and was losing. My search for hope led me to a Qigong class offered at the Steinberg Wellness Center for Mind and Body. Today I practice Qigong daily and continue to attend my Wednesday class with Dr. Ming Wu. This practice has changed my life. My stamina, strength, balance and mental outlook have improved to the point that my life, although different, is rich and rewarding. I still have the chronic illness. The difference is I now have more tools to manage it and live with it. Qigong is one of the primary tools that has affected my life dramatically, and that has been nothing but positive. I owe this to Dr. Wu and the Wellness Center."
